Primary frequency control of large-scale PV-connected multi-machine power system using battery energy storage system

<span lang="EN-US">Large-scale grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) station are increasing rapidly. However, this large penetration of PV system creates frequency fluctuation in the grid due to intermittency solar irradiance. Therefore, paper, a robust droop control mechanism battery energy storage (BESS) is developed order damp multi-machine variable active power injected from panel. The proposed strategy incorporates error signal and dead-band for effective minimization fluctuation. BESS used consume/inject an amount based upon oscillation system. simulation analysis carried out using PSCAD/EMTDC software prove effectiveness control-based result implies that scheme can efficiently curtail oscillation. </span>
